Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have been in the news lately, mainly in the world of art and music, reports Esther Shein, “ever since the artist Beeple generated buzz for selling an NFT of his digital artwork at a Christie's auction for more than $69 million.”
An NFT has no physical representation, Shein notes, but rather, in terms of blockchain, is something stored in a digital wallet that represents that token.
