When Canonical released Ubuntu 18.04 LTS back in 2018, the company switched from Unity to GNOME 3 desktop, which some people in the Linux community viewed as a mistake. If you’re one of these people, good news: the new Ubuntu Unity Remix 20.04 Linux distribution is bringing it back.
Note that “Ubuntu Unity Remix 20.04 is built from a stock base. It’s also employing Unity7, not Unity8. Another notable change is that display manager lightdm has been removed in favor of GDM3.”
