The ongoing battle against COVID-19 involves all sectors of society, including tech and IoT. This Opensource.com article by Sam Bocetta describes ways that robots are being deployed to help fight the disease and discusses security and privacy concerns surrounding their use.
He writes that “one of the most exciting areas of current research is the use of robotics to contain the spread of the coronavirus. In the last few weeks, robots have been deployed in critical environments – particularly in hospitals and on airplanes – to help staff sterilize surfaces and objects.” Additionally, a field hospital in Wuhan, for example, is using robots to help care for patients, by performing services such as providing food, drink, and medicine.
