The latest PinePhone is now available for pre-order. It is priced at US $149.99, with estimated shipping in late April 2021.
The PinePhone Beta Edition Linux SmartPhone includes the following features:
- OS: Manjaro with Plasma Mobile OS build
- Chipset: Allwinner A64
- CPU: 64-bit Quad-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A-53
- GPU: MALI-400MP2
According to the website, this Beta Edition PinePhone is “aimed solely at early adopters. More specifically, [they] only intend for these units to find their way into the hands of users with extensive Linux experience.”
Additionally, the Pine64 website notes that the “purpose of the PinePhone isn’t only to deliver a functioning Linux phone to end-users, but also to actively create a market for such a device, as well as to support existing and well established Linux-on-Phone projects.”
