Global network traffic spiked earlier this year due to lockdown measures associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, with many networks in Europe and North America experiencing a year’s worth of traffic growth in a matter of weeks, according to Nokia Deepfield’s recent Network Intelligence Report.
Nokia also noted that network traffic typically grows during the end of the year, which may happen again, particularly as the pandemic surges in many regions.
