Google v. Oracle Copyright Battle Reaches U.S. Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court will soon decide whether application programming interfaces (APIs) can be copyrighted. If the court decides they are, everything you know about making programs will change for the worse, reports Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols at ZDNet.

As the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) states, "allowing copyright on APIs is a terrible idea for computer science."
