System76 has released its new Bonobo WS Linux laptop that features “insane desktop power” and open source firmware support. Other features include:
- Up to the RTX 2080 super desktop GPU
- 10th Gen Intel Core desktop processors
- Up to 128GB of memory
- Up to 24TB NVMe storage
- 17” 1080p or 4K display
According to the rhapsodic System76 blog, there’s a lot to love about the Bonobo WS, including System76 open firmware, which “is designed with minimalism, resulting in faster boot times and increased security.” Additionally, the laptop’s embedded controller firmware grants access to the keyboard, fans, and battery.
The Bonobo WS is priced starting at $2399.
