Version 5.0 of the popular open source GNU nano text editor has been released. This upgrade offers many enhancements and changes for Linux users, as listed on the nano website, including:
- With --indicator, nano will show a kind of scrollbar on the right-hand side of the screen to show where the viewport is located in the buffer and how much it covers.
- The Execute Command prompt is now directly accessible from the main menu, along with the Linter, Formatter, Spell Checker, Full Justification, Suspension, and Cut-Till-End functions.
