Linux Professional Institute (LPI), which offers Linux and open source certifications, is lowering its exam prices in more than 140 countries and territories beginning in 2022.
The organization’s new pricing structure is based on the Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI) of the United Nations Development Programme, which combines a country’s achievements in health, education, and income with how those achievements are distributed among its population to calculate an average value.
The new prices are significantly lower in many cases, such as:
- South Africa (-42%)
- Guatemala (-41%)
- India (-36%)
- Brazil (-25%)
