Let’s Encrypt: Still Awesome

Let’s Encrypt, a free, automated, and open certificate authority currently used by more than 280 million websites, recently received the Levchin Prize for Real-World Cryptography. 

In his remarks upon receiving the award, Let’s Encrypt Executive Director Josh Aas shared some background about the project, which issues between two and three million certificates per day.
