Harness has released Gitness as an open source competitor to GitHub, reports Frederic Lardinois. The tool offers a “one-stop shop where you can host your Git repositories and automated DevOps pipelines seamlessly,” according to the website.
And, Gitness “can run on the smallest virtual machine — or a developer’s laptop — and be set up in a few minutes,” says Lardinois.
