As data rapidly expands in both size and complexity, the importance of graph technology is also growing, writes Eric Avidon. For example, according to Gartner, 80 percent of data and analytics innovations will be made using graph technology by 2025, up from just 10 percent in 2021.
Graph technology, such as graph databases, “help determine relationships in data that are more difficult or even impossible to uncover using other technologies,” says Mary K. Pratt, and unlike traditional tools, the technology can better handle increasing demands.
